Santo Domingo, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, was the first Spanish capital of the New World. The many churches and monasteries, as well as the wonderful shady alleyways of the first city of the Americas, created 500 years ago, testify to the greatness of imperial Spain. Discover on foot but also by bike to get away from the historic center and discover the daily life of the Dominicans and young street art enthusiasts.
The colonial city offers an exciting nightlife and has become the place where the Dominicans meet. Many bars, rooftops and restaurants, some popular, most of them trendy or luxury, can be found in the neighborhood that you discover on foot.
The South West brings together the most contrasting and beautiful landscapes of the Dominican Republic. Up to the Haitian border the route meanders between green cliffs, arid plains covered with cactus and the Sierra de Bahoruco bordering the Caribbean Sea with an intense sapphire blue. All along this beautiful panoramic route, colourful and sleepy villages, coves of white sand or pebbles rolled by the waves, as well as lakes and lagoons hosting a remarkable wildlife. This region, very little frequented, is for people looking for authenticity and eco-tourism. Highlights: Enriquillo salt lake, Oviedo lagoon, Cachote rainforest and the beautiful beach of Bahia Las Aguilas.

Mountainous region with the highest peak in the Caribbean, "El Pico Duarte". Called the Dominican Alps, this region is a must-see for eco-tourism lovers and sportsmen. Rafting, canyoning, hiking and horseback riding, mountain biking. The dizzying roads offer plunging views on valleys considered as the gardens of the Dominican Republic. At the foot of these mountains, Santiago de Los Caballeros, the second largest city in the country, is known for its tobacco production and its world famous cigars.

The peninsula of Samana is a mountain range extending from east to west, whose summit culminates at 600 m of altitude. It is bordered in the north by the Atlantic Ocean and its magnificent beaches and in the south by the bay of Samana, sanctuary of the humpback whales where they come to reproduce each year between January 15 and March 15.
It hosts one of the largest coconut plantations in the Caribbean. The nature is beautiful and lush.
The peninsula offers many possibilities of visits and activities such as the famous national park Los Haitises, waterfalls and the most remarkable beaches of the country.
